I am so old that I still recall being welcomed aboard Eastern airlines flights by Frank Borman himself and watching Fidels MIG 21s zoom pass our aircraft while sipping a Bacardi and Coke. That being said,I suppose I am kinda of an expert at Rum and we just tried some of this Calyso stuff at our favorite Atlanta Juke joint and it is pretty darned good. Only $6 a fifth, it ain't the Captain, but its $8 less and is very close. .
Nope...aand being a rum snob myself I find the lack of choice disenheartening. I believe the best they have is Flor De Cana 7 year old, which actually isn't too bad. It's no Dictador or Zacapa, but it will do in a pinch. I'm actually considering bringing down a bottle of Plantation Barbados with me for evening sipping.....or possibly Plantation extra old
I was thinking that the bartender at the quiet pool was showing someone the "NEW" rum that they had just gotten in. Its just arrived, but very popular here in Atlanta!! Really like the Coconut.
