In the end of October 2007, a week of heavy rains unleashed massive flooding in southeastern Mexico. This disaster has affected over 1 million people in the states of Tabasco and Chiapas. It has also been reported that over 500,000 homes are damaged and more than 20,000 people remain trapped on rooftops. As of November 14, approximately 80% of the state of Tabasco was under water. In addition to severe flooding, deadly mudslides and the risk of waterborne diseases, thousands of people have gone days without food, medicine or necessary supplies. These people need our help in any way that we can offer...please check out our site for ways to help! www.love2mexico.com Thank You!
I haven´t given anything to this site specifically but having been in Cancun fro over a month now I´ve made sure to give to the Red Cross relief efforts. Dany and I have also bought a bunch of non-perishable items and donated them in the collection barrels at Wal-Mart.
