Hey guys! I know there is probably a place that specifies each part of my question. I have read through a few places, but wanted to make sure I'm getting this right. We are curious as to when you dress into themed clothes and what is worn at dinner time. The theme descriptions gets a little confusing as to when you would switch into your ooo lala's for the night We are newbies, but definitely plan to dress up and get involved. I just want to make sure I am not over packing, or more than normal. Also...what shoes can men wear in the restaurants? I've seen a few places that say no sandals or tennies...is this so? Thanks in advance!
well from personal exp. dress nice to go to reserv. dinners. men should wear closed shoes. slacks, button shirt. women, well we have a broader scope of things to wear. dress, skirt, just nice stuff. usualy we go have dinner then go back to room freshen up, and change into whatever your doing. themes, ligere ect. i usualy wear 3 different things a day. but its up to you. packing to stay at wieght is easy, things you wear in cancun dont wiegh very much.
as far as the men go and dinner... better safe than sorry. Don't wear your tennies on the planes, leave em at home and wear you dress shoes with your jeans(saves on the packing weight and room. You won't wear the tennies there). you should want to wear your dress shoes and a nice pair of jeans or dress slacks for dinner to compliment the sexy woman attire. As far as when to get changed into your "theme outfit" it is whenever you feel like. Most people will find themselves changing throughout the day. Some ladies dress in the morning into their "conservative suit" and cover while they do breakfast and then head to the pool. go eat lunch and then back to the room for a suit change after the cocktails have changed their mind to naughtyville.(that is change #2 but not necessary if you don't want to or wear the naughty one right away). Siesta time and then change up to nice dress clothes for dinner. You have the option also if you wanna just eat at the El Embarcado(buffet) then you don't have the need to change. After dinner then people will find their way to PatyO's. Some dress "themed" right away for the evening others will get the feel for it and head back to their room after they have gotten the vibe in PatyO's. Ultimately it is your call and whatever you feel. Have fun but don't let other make your vacation for you.... go out and get it by the balls!
Pack light My tip - unless you are planning to do a bunch of off-resort excursions, a pair of shorts & a t-shirt is the only regular clothes you need. I wore a beach dress over my suit every morning for breakfast and was in my suit the rest of the day. We always got dressed up nice for dinner, went to Nice Shoes, sometimes in theme wear, sometimes not, and then to Paty'O. If there were a few dressed up, I went back and changed. Except for lingere night when you have to be dressed up to get into Nice Shoes. I brought home 3 t-shirts and 2 shorts never even looked at them all week. :icon_mrgreen:
Thanks guys! And no I definitely don't plan to bring much regular clothes. I have swim dresses for over my suit and theme wear. I just didn't know how many dresses and heels to bring and how many nice outfits to bring for him or if we would be in theme wear only in evenings. I only own heels and boots. Greg thinks I'm crazy. They are super sexy and I want to bring some but not if I won't wear them. We are pretty comfortable in our not perfect skin and can make a laugh or blast of anything so I'm not too worried. I may be the entertainment for others, and thats fine by me
