I cannot find much (at least since the remodel) on dinner reservations when searching the forums. We are not VIP or Premier and have a 8 night stay coming up. The last resort we stayed at in Cancun we were able to make reservations at check in. I believe that is only available for Premier members rather than everyone else at TTR. How does making the dinner reservations work? Do you even need reservations? I have read that only the Italian Restaurant requires one, but that was also in a forum prior to the remodel. We are first timers here and appreciate this forum for people like us! The countdown syndrome is real! We cannot wait for November 29’to arrive! Thanks in advance, party peeps!
We were there in March only 2 restaurants required reservations. She and the Hibachi restaurant, you can make reservations when you arrive, I think they both require at least 24 hours.
We just got back and Italian didn’t take reservations. We are at Sutra but didn’t do the hibachi and we didn’t need reservations.
Yep she and hibachi which is within the sutra. You don’t need reservations for the sushi part of sutra. Definitely a plus at the new TTR. If you have trouble getting reservations then just show up and give the host $10. If they have a cancellation you will jump to the front of the line.
Thanks @hotfitcpl @Jen&Kyle do the reservations need to be made at the restaurant or will front desk/concierge make reservations? If they need to be made at restaurant, what time does restaurant open to make a “reso” ?
We have been 4 times since the renovations and the no-reservation system works so much better than the old system. The longest wait we have had at any restaurant was 30 minutes which is a good time to go have a drink.
