What is the best idea for arrival day...Last July, there was no need for dinner reservations because of the decrease in guests, so we were able to eat where ever we wanted. On our first night, April 29th, we won't be able to make reservations and we really don't enjoy the buffet...what's our best options for dinner? Tip the host to get in, go outside the resort? Thanks for the help.
You can try and get in a dinner as soon as you show up and book it.You have better chances of getting to margaritas for the night time dinner or the rio across the road is 50 pp but it is yummy. We make iit a must for every trip.
I dont believe you need reservations for Tex/Mex restaurant anymore , so that would be my choice on the day of arrival, they have a good menu
if you know someone from the forum that is already going to be there before hand have them make dinner reservations under their name for them and you good way to get together the first night you get there. I get there on the 27th of April and some friends are getting there on the 1st of may so I am going to make reservations for myself and them for a party of sometimes I always make reservations for a couple more people incase we meet someone at the sexy pool that just got in but want to eat at the resturant. That is the best way I find. Rob
Day one can be a blur. Waking up early, drinking a couple airplane (or airport) size cocktails, a drink on the way to the resort, a few "these drinks are really good" drinks when you first get to the resort, major partying, followed by a nap....................... pretty soon dinner is just forgotten and you are eating a burger at midnight.
And those midnight burgers taste like filet mignon when your drunk too.... i can say enough about how tasty they are, though during the day they arent, but add a few drinks to your taste buds and .....in the words of Emeril...BAM...instant great snack haha
well... I know that my supper will be on the plane beside me, and god willing, she will tuck me in as the sun comes up over the edge of the curb!!!! (Careful in the morning though, its kinda like pulling apart a grilled-cheese sandwich!!) hahhaa!!! And Jim, it's still my contention that Donairs should ALMOST replace the burgers if we HAD to choose!!
Haha...im still wondering if your getting tucked in next to a curb or that the sun is rising above the curb, or a bit of both....though unfortunately due to a drunken disaster, i know what the concrete in Cancun tastes like...lol
rdubnpk The Tex-Mex and the seafood restaurant are both available without a reservation. I had the grouper at the seafood rest. and it was great!!!
