Yes, collared shirts with short or long sleeves, long pants, closed toe shoes. People have gotten away with less and some have been turned away when they don't comply. They try to make dinner there special and hense the dress code. Jamie
When we were there at the very beginning of April we were almost disgusted at the fact that they "require" the men to wear closed toe shoes, long pants, and a dress shirt, as told when you make the reservations. As I did adhere to it, there were others that did not and were let in regardless. Open Sandles, literally SWIM trunks and a tank top??? WHAT THE HELL? Sidebar>>> GUYS, your female companions on the trip go to great extents to put themselves out there, doll themselves up, and look as radient as possible. I think the least you could do for even an hour or two would be to throw on a pair of slacks and a nice shirt to compliment the lovely ladies you are escorting around to dinner. We know it is peoples prerogative, as they are on vacation, but do you honestly think the women don't mind? I wish we would have taken pictures of how many couple we saw come into the restaurants where the female was dressed to the nines and looking smokin hot, only to have attention drawn away from her to notice the schlum dressed like he just stumbled off of the beach after an all day bender. Sorry for the rant(climbing down from the soap box)!
No need to be sorry. I agree with you 100%. The only reason I asked is I get extremely hot, even at night. If I wear shorts they are dress shorts and I wear a nice shirt with collar and nice loafers. And yes, the women go to a lot of effort to look nice which I appreciate. Thanks!
not a problem and I get the same way when wearing pants. I did find though that the Italian restaurant had the air on and Kellie even actually got a little chilled. I found myself pretty comfy in there. I cant speak for the Chinese though. When we had dinner there it was on a whim and we got walk in service. Being a lil tanked up I couldn't tell ya if the air was on or not.
nightly dinner are always my excuse to bust out my pimp clothes and look nice since im on my swimming trunks all day during the day.
