Ok, I understand that this is not likely the most attractive thread, but I wanted to put this it out there as an FYI in an effort help anyone who has had issues adjusting to the Mexican cuisine during there stay at TTR. Although the TTR food is fantastic, some of that pesky Mexican bacteria likes to mess with some us during our stay and in my case for another week after I return. (Thus the term Travelers Diarrhea. Sorry. I said that word.) Anyway as an FYI for anyone who has experienced this type of issue when traveling or wants to prevent this from happening, I recommend that you start taking a Probiotic that includes S. Boulardii (Saccharomyces Boulardii) about two weeks prior to leaving and throughout your stay. S. Boulardii is the key component that is used to address diarrhea issues. (Google it) This will significantly reduce the likeliness of having any digestive tract related issues during and after your trip. Probiotics can be purchased at any pharmacy, including Wal-Mart. As an FYI, I am certified in nutrition and this is what I recommended. If you have any other health issues, be certain to check with your primary care physician before taking a probiotic. Enjoy you trip!!!!

We didn't do that on our first trip last May and, well, let's just say we didn't feel so well for about 2 weeks after we got home. So for October we did heavy duty probiotics and had no issues at all. It definitely works.

Get cipro, not z-paks. I have a few that my MD gives me before Mexico trips just in case.
