What are the main differences? What is recommended by those who have been to both?

We prefer the smaller Cabo resort for a couple of reasons. First of all is the rooftop jacuzzi with a swim up bar...what an awesome party place. Secondly, we thought the food in Cabo was much better. We also like going into Cabo San Lucas much more than Cancun. Much less crowded.

We have been to Cabo just once and lots of times to Cancun. We liked both of them, although for different reasons. The Asian restaurant in Cabo was great as we both enjoy the Tepannyaki style, although I thought the rest of the food was pretty ordinary. The rooftop jacuzzi was really neat, but no one was there either of the nights we went up there. We finally got tired of talking to the bartender about midnight and went back downstairs.

I definitely like Cabo San Lucas much better than Cancun. The marina, boats, and the waterside bars and restaurants are great.

Cabo is a newer and much smaller hotel then Cancun. Cabo is a little more laid back and the games are alot tamer (very disapointed that there was no crazy tequillia volleyball). All and all we liked Cabo better and are planning a 2nd trip back asap.

We found it alot nicer the food was a little better and the resort was in much better shape.

We still really enjoyed Cancun but after going to Cabo i really doubt we will go back to Cancun

Have talked to some friends that have been to both Cancun and Cabo. First TTR in Cancun is over two time larger, 384 rooms in Cancun and 151 rooms in cabo. All said that the guest in Cancun are much younger than those in Cabo, and that being in Cancun was more like been there durning spring break while Cabo was more laid back. All of them love both places, but these older then 30 seemed to like Cabo better. We like Cabo better because it is easier for us to get to, 12 hours travel time to Cabo and over 20 hours to Cancun. Then a 7am flight to make a connection home. We don't want to get up at 3am to get to airport by 5am
