Are the TTR party themes and the CC themes in different places at the resort? Or is it just that we CC kids are cooler and have our own theme, even though it's in the same location and same time? We are coming up with a costume that would fit both "White Bacchanal Party" (the TTR theme) AND "Glow Night" (the CC theme), which are both listed for the same night (Fri May 18), and we aren't sure if we are supposed to go to one OR the other, or if they are in the same place or at the same time. (Sorry this is probably on the board somewhere already but I can't find it.)
The resort themes happen in nice shoes, at Paty o's, and by the sexy pool. At least last time we were there they did. We also done white night and glow night together last year. The glow sets off the white. The cc themes usually are on different nights when there isn't much of a TTR theme night.
Here's the low down from JAMIE: "OK.. to help clear the confusion…. A few years ago TTR had one theme night, Casino/Lingerie night. But as all good partiers know, things grow.. so the folks from CC started planning their own theme nights. Nothing like at some of the resorts, ie toga nights and such, but stuff like the glow nights. Just things to get people talking and interacting with each other. Over time it started expanding into school girl nights, sports nights, and things like that which involved bringing special clothing, other than the Lingerie of course. But a lot of people had that already, they just started wearing it in public. Along the way TTR picked up on what was happening and start throwing in some nights of their own like the white night. We’ll we of CC are nothing if not adaptable, so when they came up with white night we thought that white made the perfect background to offset glow items. Long story short… Things are all happening either in PadyO’s, Nice Shoes or out by the pool. Whatever the resort is doing, CC is doing something on top of it. Not in conflict with, but in concert with. As strange as it seems with the number of people here but on any individual night, CC might make up 1/3 rd of the population at the resort. So for white night for example, you will see about 1/3 of the folks with glow stuff at the beginning of the night. By the end, ¾ of the folks will be glowing. We kind of infect people – in a good way. Jamie"
Jamie's explanation is the best I've read yet about the TTR vs. CCC apparent inconsistency, which actually isn't.
My boy was very happy to hear about this post because I had just teased him for asking the exact same question lol.
