i believe they did in a way of the whole package thing, but I dont. I was watching it on MSNBC while it was going on and I thought for sure something huge was gonna come out of it, and nothing did. Thank God though
I think it's one of those damned if you do damned if you don't kinda situations....and as a citizen of this great country I would rather they error on the side of caution :!:
Well in this world we live in it's better to be over reacting to little things than letting them go un noticed and not reacted to
I got to go with over-reacted. I think maybe they did it cause they get bored from not having a good baseball team and their football team was knocked out this year!!!! j/k either way.....they definately got the media attention they wanted!!!
Guerilla Marketing of any kind - even something as inane as washable chalk on a building that doesn't belong to you - is not a right - and never has been. And even though it's been overlooked in the past, the past is exactly that and belongs right where this kind of thing belongs. That being said, either Turner broadcasting or the local law enforcement should be paying the freight on this one - big time. Turner claims they informed the local authorities and the FBI, just like they did in every other city that this was done and worked out well - and if that's true, the authorities in Boston should be taken to task for wasting so much of everyone's time and effort as a result of having severly subpar communications (which would be desperately needed in the event of a real concern). Or, they could have (and perhaps given they level of aptitude - or lack thereof) should have simply denied Turner permission to carry this out. Now - if Turner screwed up and didn't inform the authorities and get permission - either on purpose or by mistake - they ought to pay the freight on this, from top to bottom. Or better yet, simply have one of the execs pay with some time in jail for being stupid and irresponsible. So did the city overreact? Maybe so, as they may be the ones responsible for causing the problem in the first place. And the more time that passes without someone nailing Turner on this, the more I get the feeling that there's someone on the side of the authorities that didn't do their job. That makes more sense than to think that Turner remembered to inform the authorities everywhere else and forget to do so in Boston.
