Hi All Hope you can answer a question for me, this is my first trip to Cancun . I am diabetic and am on a few meds. What will I need to bring with us to get thru customs with them? As I really need these to keep my blood surgars in check. Thanks C.V
This happens every day! Lots of diabetics travel here. If you are worried just be sure to bring copies of your prescriptions to show the Customs agent.
One of the suggestions that TSA has is that if you have medicines, carry them in the originally issued perscription bottles with the name of the pharmacy, dosage, etc clearly printed on it. Same goes for creams, etc. Pack these in a seperate plastic bag in case they search your suitcase. And yes a copy of the perscription would be helpful. But you should not have any problems since this is something very commn.
Type 1 I have type 1 diabetes and am on an insulin pump. I have a letter from my Dr. stating that fact. My pump can't go through the x-ray machine. I detatch it and hand it to the screener along with my kit with supplies. Have had no problems domestic or abroad. Jimmy
