We have been to Temptation a dozen times along with a hand full of other Caribbean Resorts over the last 15+ years but honestly they have become too much for us. We need a relaxing vacation with Adult fun but much quieter than TTR.......................something more mello. We are not fans of excess clothing nor are we any longer fans of the constant screaming of 20 somethings. No offense intended We loved Temptation when we were younger................lol. Soooooooooooooooooooo anyway we are very close to booking Desire RM. We are no longer swingers so that's not what we are looking for either. We are looking for a friendly bunch of people....a good party atmosphere, Food like what we enjoyed at TTR. If you have been to both places if you'd compare and contrast the two, it'd be very much appreciated. PLEASE let us hear from you!
Honestly, sounds like you might find Breathless, or Royalton Chic, We gave up on TTR several years ago as well. RM is high energy vibe with a lively disco for good portion of the night, while, Pearl is a little lower key, but is dead 1 hour after the show unless you in the LS, where the hot tub is pretty lively.
We are not swingers and we LOVE Desire. It has a great mix of sexy, party, romance, luxury and class. There are many great features, such as the sexy vibe, sexy entertainment, classy feel, super friendly staff and super welcoming guests. I don't know what it is about Desire, but it makes everyone friendly with each other. We have met and had great conversations with so many couples over the years. I am very awkward socially at home, but I feel like a social butterfly when I'm at Desire. My husband often puts his foot in his mouth when he speaks but at Desire, he becomes an excellent conversationalist. The atmosphere of the resort puts you at ease and a level of comfort we don't experience in our everyday lives. The atmosphere is great, the people you meet will be great, there is a party (not as raucous as Temptation, but still spicy) good entertainment, good food and a whole lot of fun.
Thanks for the response..... Yeah........................................................how about daytime..... is Desire as obnoxiously loud as Temptation? How was the food at Desire and Pearl compared to TTR.
We aren't swingers either, but we do love a good classy SPICY place with friendly people that are nude or scantily clad................lol
We've been to Cancun 11 times. Golden Parnassus twice, TTR only 6 times, and the last 3 have been TTR and Desire RM split trips. When we first started going, and reading reports on here there would be people talking about switching rooms in the middle of a trip, and I couldn't even comprehend that. I couldn't imagine packing up, and moving when a trip is so short anyway. One year we had a bad Tower room and switched, and it wasn't so bad. Three years ago we did our first split trip, and it was nothing. We don't sleep in much anyway, and since nothing happens at either place till close to noon you aren't missing out anything by doing a split trip. After so many trips it's now kind of a nice break in the routine to switch resorts. Years back we never would have gone to RM. Being naked wasn't a goal, I guess you could say it is now, at least for me, and kind of fun. As for the screaming of 20 years old. We have never really like the loud games at TTR and we always go up to the skybar around that time, and eat lunch and maybe take a quick nap. Our first trip to RM, three years ago, was before their renovation and it was very chill in the pool. That pool is also strikingly small after being at TTR. That took a little to get used to. Their new pool is much larger, and unfortunelty they seem to be trending towards that same loud mid day activity vibe. It's certainly not as bad as TTR however. RM skews older for sure, so finding people to talk to seems to be a little easier. We find 6 days is just the right amount of time, so we do 3 days at each, and plan on keeping it that way. Bash at TTR, and the Disco at RM our similiar, but different enough that it's a nice change of pace. Going to the hot tub after the Disco at RM is a huge plus as well, and is a great way to end the night. We aren't foodie people at all, and do room service a fare amount at TTR and like it. Never have at RM. No real complaints about the food at either place, but my wife isn't a big fan of either one as she tends to not like new foods. One thing about RM is more of the reasturants are reservation only, so you are more limited for sure. Kind of a ramble, and not sure if I answered much of what you were asking. I would say if we weren't doing a split trip and had to choose just one place, we would choose RM.
