We just returned from a trip to Temptation resort and had the chance to talk with the general manager and entertainment manager about the opening of Desire Los Cabos on May 1st. This is what we discussed. The theme nights have been selected and the information will be sent to their Cancun offices soon so that it can be added to the Desireloscabos.com website. I don’t have the descriptions but these are supposed to be the themes: Studio 54 – disco attire ABC – Anything But Clothes Masquerade The Colors Of Mexico – favorite red, white, or green outfits (or all of the colors) Caligula – roman, gladiator Sheer lingerie Ebony & Ivory – this night is supposed to be the piano bar evening entertainment From the general manager: The disco is going to be updated; I believe just cosmetic updates of paint, flooring, etc. The jacuzzi is going to be re-finished. It is going to be a pebble tec material. The jacuzzi deck is supposed to get new tile. The jacuzzi will now be open starting at 10 am and up until 5 pm will be available as a “quiet” area for guests that want to suntan in a relaxing area. After 5pm is when the normal lounge type music in the jacuzzi area will start and then continue for the rest of the evening. The dining area by the pool is being enlarged, this work has already started. The dining area closest to the spa is being extended, and it looked like there is only going to be 1 entrance into the dining area, on the opposite side of the new extension. The stage area by the pool is going to have a new shade/privacy structure built. Maybe similar to the privacy structure at the jacuzzi. Since it had great reviews from the prior Desire weeks, there is supposed to be live music around the pool once a week. The outdoor furniture around the pool is being replaced and the top of shade structures that cover the beds around the pool is being replaced. It certainly is going to be a busy time at the resort leading up to the opening.
I specifically asked them 2 months ago if there was going to be any construction before booking and they said NO
Never been to Temptations Los Cabos, have to wait for some reviews to come out of this new operation.
Whiteys, thanks for the update. The upgrades sound great! I would assume that they do not plan on closing during the construction. We may have some unhappy Mar-Apr visitors especially with Jacuzzi being closed. Thanks again, let us know if you hear more.
Well, we have our theme night ideas ready to go, just have to wait until it is posted on their website to make it "official", and then it is time to shop.
