I've heard this from several different sources but now direct from Original Resorts. Hoping no one from here has booked for next week!
Los cabo desire has been sold Anyone know who who purchased the desire los cabos? They are only operating as a desire till June 13th, a little short notice for anyone that has booked.
One would imagine that if the new owner is looking to shut down for renovations etc, that they would have to give refunds. Guess we know how they were planning to pay for the purchase of the Desire Pearl property now. Probably makes more sense for them to have all their properties consolidated on the east coast.
Ugh! At least we got to visit the property once. They had a lot of takeovers booked in the upcoming months too. Should have left it Temptations. Hopefully they are looking at other properties in other locations to continue to expand. We thought Pearl was on a 5yr lease.
There is a rumor in our circle that a Vancouver couple in the adult industry purchased the property outright, but you know how rumors go.
I highly doubt that Original Resorts would sell or lease any of its properties to a potential competitor in their market segment........ that would just be really bad business decision - LOL As far as I know(yet to be officially confirmed) another established resort operator purchased the property and will reopen it as a family friendly resort.
This sure will create a mess for all of those who have already booked for the summer. I can see how it would be easier to keep it all together on the east side. Should be interesting to see how it all pans out.
