Does anyone have details on how to book a day pass at Desire? If they don’t offer day passes, We would be interested in doing a 24 hour visit, buying a one night stay at Desire. We of course would also have our room at TTR that night, so we are not inquiring about an exchange. We are staying at TTR January 21-31... Any information also on how to get to Desire for this would be great too (cab, transfer service, hotel shuttle?). This is our first time to Cancun and TTR...it would be great to “try” Desire so we can get a taste of it for future travel! Thanks in advance for any advice!
I am not sure about this but I think I remember that you have to stay a minimum of 2 nights at Desire. No pass are available to the common guy. If you are a member or do the presentation, you might be able to negotiate something. USA transfer would be the best way to get from one resort to another resort.
Technically they don't do day passes or night passes to the general public. We have negotiated one in the past by both throwing out a bunch of names we knew who were over at Desire at the time and by doing the presentation. We are not members. We know others have negotiated a visit thru membership contacts. Although all of the above methods are horribly inconsistent. Sometimes really feels like it depends on the direction of the wind. It is also stated that there is a 2 night min at Desire. However, we have booked single nights in the past on discount sites. Really seems to depend on demand at the resort at the time. I only recall finding single night options in the Fall. And note we would be adding a night to an existing booked trip. I would never recommend only going for 1 night. If you want the full experience 2 nights would be better. If it is too much then there are many ways to escape the scene. In your situation, since you are already booked at TTR, and just want to check Desire out, the first thing I would try would be to agree to take the time share presentation if you could go over to Desire in the early afternoon and stay as long as you want. You want to see the environment during the day, change, do a nice dinner, enjoy the disco and the jacuzzi scene. Keep in mind everything is negotiable. If you stand firm and clearly state what you want then it may work. Refuse to do the presentation without the visit Desire option. Say you are only interested in buying in if you get both benefits of TTR and Desire so need to check out Desire. Even if you have no intention of buying in at all.
Kyle - FYI, anyone that succeeds in getting a pass to Desire via taking the time share presentation - the pass is only valid from 10am to 5pm and then they are booted out by 5 pm, no exceptions, also there are no night passes via that route. All in all a pretty expensive day (figure approx $100 round trip for transportation) for just a few hours to be nude or see others that way - the real action at Desire doesn't really begin to get started until after 5pm as you well know Desire RM has a firm two night booking minimum while Desire Pearl is variable and you can sometimes get a room there for a single night. Given the costs, I agree - a single night at Desire will not be rewarding for most.
We used an evening pass at Desire RIVIERA MAYA last year for $400 per couple. This included food and drink. let me know if you need details...OMG
Informative...thanks... So you paid $400 (per couple)? And whom did you pay, meaning how did you arrange it? Did it include transportation? When did arrive at RM and when did they kick you out?
I called Desire direct and told them what day I wanted the day or evening pass. We had to pay for our own transportation. We always use Candian Transfers. If you are doing the evening pass do not plan on a taxi being there that late at night. Yes we paid $400 for a pm pass. We paid it to Desire when we arrived. Not sure what RM means, but nobody kicked us out. We had a great time.
