This is a little off topic but since Temptations and Desire are both ran by O.R. I thought I would throw this up there... I am a new member to O.R and my wife and I have only been to Cancun Desire... we wanted to check out Temptations this summer but really want to hear some feedback on Desire Cabo... there was a forum with the number 19 in it but it seems to be shut down.... Anyone been to both Desire cancun and cabo? if so pros and cons for both please..
Cabo outside of Dec to Feb has the best weather ,scenery, Ocean, small Mexican town feel and is more inanimate . Heard a few claims they are running low occupancy since the change over to clothing optional. There are a few good comparison reviews on this forum. TTR has the best party atmosphere by far, at 3 time the size.

Desire Pearl - 88 Rooms Desire RM - 100 Rooms Desire Cabos - 150 Rooms So even at 50% occupancy, Desire Cabos is pretty full compared to the other resorts and Pearl is running 60-80% occupancy. Cabos in the Spring & Fall runs much more full than in the winter/summer. O-R is doing its best to get people to visit Pearl - they shuttled in RM folks daily to experience the resort and many are now booking Pearl because of how breathtaking it is. Cabos is running specials on pricing to get people to try it out and prior to 2009 it was Desire so lots of folks will be switching back to Cabos from RM. Cabos resort is absolutely gorgeous, rooms are much larger & nicer than Temptation with couches in them. Big party pool and 2nd story massive hot-tub with swim up bar. Landscaping is great. The let down is the beach/ocean. While Temptations Cancun beach is not the best - Cabos is not as nice as it has a great beach but cold water that no one really swims in due to the high surf and cold water. Also, you can not be nude in the water at Cabos like you can at Desire. The party is there at Desire - its just different and with couples only it creates a much more sensual party vibe. Much more upscale of an experience, fewer to no trashy people, tighter knit friendlier community of visitors. Less hectic, more laid back - All the rave reviews of Desire are for a reason - it really is a great place.
Makes me want to go back.when we were there in Oct the water was bearable and a lot of people were swimming , the resort next door even had life guards out.Just don't venture past the sand bar or you will be shark food.
Water last April was bearable - just not as warm as the Carribean. Water in Cancun & RM this time of year was considerably cooler than last October so I'm thinking you are right - the water in Cabos in October would be quite nice. It's a beautiful resort. Desire Pearl is much nicer but I think Cabos is up to the level of RM. Bigger pool & hot tub than RM. Renovations & remodeling continue to go on at Cabos - the hot tub was completely resurfaced last April, fresh paint everywhere, with many of the rooms getting freshened up. We really enjoyed the cool evening breeze of Cabos with the lack of humidity - makes it nice at night to have it cool down some.
