Been to Snow's, was good... they were advertising mail order BBQ... I still think the best BBQ is Stubb's. Love Austin... will be back Feb 11-13.

Still need to find a good BBQ place in San Antonio, will be there Feb 22nd to 26th. Any suggestions?

Tom's Ribs used to be a must...but after an ownership change, they kinda messed with the formula, so is not so good now

Rudy's is a chain in that area of TX (mostly cities along I-35). They serve great prime rib by weight on weekends, but also excel in all forms of BBQ. They serve beer (not so for all BBQ joints...especially in dry counties).

    Enjoy yourself...

...and if you want to actually avoid the tourist trap Mexican restaurants on the riverwalk, I would recommend La Fogata for the atmosphere and drinks (as well as food), and Los Barrios for their legendary enchiladas. Both are northcentral/northwest of downtown...inside the loop.
