Has anyone tried getting any dental work done in cancun? We have insurance but wonder if it's cheaper in Cancun. we tried info@sunset dentalcancun.com and it didn't work.. anyways just wondering if anyone has done it and how it went. thanks PS the last thing I want to do while on vacation is get dental work done however if it worth our while..why not
I had the same question because I wanted to get a crown so I asked Steve. He recommended Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry: http://www.cancuncosmeticdentistry.com/ They seem pretty good, will pick you up and only need two visits and since I'm there 2 and half weeks shouldn't affect me too much.
Thanks Zurc your a sweetheart will check them out, we are only there 9 days but 2 are travel. Thanks hope one day to meet you.
Hi Jeff & Deb. There is a company called Global Healthcare Connections and they are located in Saskatoon, SK. The owner Adel is fantastic. Adel has traveled around the globe visiting health care facilities. There is a great clinic in Cancun for dental work that she could recommend for you. Medical Tourism - Global Healthcare Connections If you call, tell Adele that Ashley sent you!!! Adele is a fantastic gal!
guys hope u are checking these places out.....................I am in dentistry in the carolinas and have been for over 20 yrs...................the old saying you get what u pay for still rings true in alot of things. Hopefully whatever u guys are doing is on a "back tooth" so if it doesn't work out...............nobody will NOTICE! I have seen people who have had work done abroad and it isn't any cheaper cause whatever they have done elsewhere isn't done correct so they still have to pay full price to have it done properly
Deb, one of the Sisters had some done a couple years ago.. im not exactly sure what she had done, i think maybe veneers but i can find out if you like. Bruce seems to remember that she said it was less than half of what it cost in canada. she of course would recommend it or not especially if she has had any problems..
I saw a patient recently that had 3 implants placed in Cancun. One was placed in the nerve and her lip is numb. She saved $500 (not including travel) vs what I would have charged to do it right. I've seen a ton of horrible work from Mexico. I wouldn't get treatment there nor would I let any of my friends or family. Specialist in IL.
The only way I'd get dental work done in a foreign country would be if it was an emergency, and couldn't wait until I got back home. Even then I'd probably be dragged kicking and screaming! If anything goes wrong, there's probably very little you could do about it - at least in your own country if something goes wrong you can report it and hopefully something can be done to repair the damage.
