To Spirit Airlines. Sometimes you actually get what you pay for. In this case, I paid about the same as Jet Blue/American/Continental to fly Spirit to Cancun as part of my Orbitz package, but ended up with Spirit - a budget airline. They suck. They have very few connections, their customer service is accusatory and rude, their baggage offices in LGA, FLL and Cancun are worthless and poorly trained, and it took them from Friday at 3pm until Monday at 1pm to find my luggage. They screwed up my connection, didn't offer any advise on accomodations near the Ft. Lauderdale airport when there were no more flights to cancun, still charged us for soft drinks on the plane as we sat on the runway for 2 extra hours... and not once did a person in a management or supervisor capacity apologize.... not once!! I do not like them.
Dennis you should have called me about hotels by the airport. I could have helped you bro. I am flying Jet BLue for the first time on Friday. Hope they are better than Spirit.
Yikes!! :shock: What a nightmare!! Have you tried calling them now that you're home and demand a refund or some sort of compensation for your troubles?
I am writing a detailed account of the weekend's activities including names and times and such. I'll keep you posted. I don't like them at all. people on our return plane (sitting on the runway for 2 hours playing Go Fish) were saying the worst things about Spirit Airlines... I actually felt bad for the flight attendants.
