That's right, kids.... The University of South Florida is now ranked #2 in both the AP and BCS polls after slapping UCF around 64-12 on Saturday. Only those cupcakes from Ohio State are ahead of us. Hopefully the Bulls win on the road at Rutgers (Thurs. 7:30pm ESPN) so that Fletch and I can see them undefeated vs. UCONN on Nov. 27 in East Hartford, CT. Hop on, this train's heading for New Orleans!
Wouldn't surprise me if College Gameday made an appearance at one of their games, Dennis. I know that if both South Florida and UC had stayed unbeatened, that game was going to be a nationall televsied game for ABC. You never know though..still might be.
It's a shame that any school could play Girl Scout Troup #454 and be ranked #1 just because they beat them. Where is the strength of schedule factor???? Ohio State should repeat last season in football and basketball - thinking that they're the best only to be embarassed on the national stage, in the championship game. I loved it!!!!
Ohio State will choke at Michigan or Penn State. If the unthinkable happens and USF remains undefeated, I'd actually rather play Ohio State than LSU or Oklahoma. But who cares? For us USF alumni, we hadn't been ranked before 4 weeks ago... ever. Now we're #2. It's pretty amazing, and it's gonna be one hell of a party at the bowl game. Woo!

Yes, the defense seemed to play like shit... and Rutgers had the perfect defensive scheme to stop Grothe... They will get back to winning, and Fletch and I will have a fine time at the UCONN game a week from tomorrow! Now they need to win the Big East so they can go to a BCS Bowl Game.
