I read on Sipse news today that there are roughly 43 cases of dengue in Cancun so far, with 7 cases hemorrhagic however I didnt know that it gave you itchy skin, it used to be called bone break fever because the pain is so bad that it made you feel as though your bones were broken, also a high fever that takes alot to go down, painful eyes and a very very bad headache
if in doubt dont take anything apart from paracetemol because any aspirin can cause the blood to thin and thats the last thing you want with dengue as it can lead to hemorraghic
there are alot of mosquitos about this year, yuk

We do get dengue here, but it mostly sticks to more rural or poorer areas that do not get sprayed for mosquitoes. The hotel zone is sprayed constantly. That said, there is a chance. Symptoms are headache, pain behind the eyes, aching joints and a rash. Nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite may play a role in some. You may experience weight loss which is why some of us call it "The Dengue Diet". ;-)

Rest and drink plenty of fluids and see a doctor. These symptoms could be a few different things, worth checking out. Good luck and feel better!
