Delayed Opening

Original Resorts have just announced they delay of the opening of both Miches and Grand Miches resorts in Dominican Republic. The new opening date is October 21. They are claiming the hurricane is the reason for the change.

 

Pool damage and some rooms damaged from the storm . We needed to keep the same dates so we had to move to Cancun unfortunately

 

Glad you were able to move, we are booked for Halloween, hope all will be fine by then

 

We had to do the same thing since are travel couldn't be pushed back to late October

 

We are in the same boat. Rebooked for June and will add 3 nights at Grand now. Booked the Royalton CHIC in PC for our 10/8-13 trip. It seems to have a LOT of similarities to TTR. Well, except for the tops. Ugh

 

Looks pretty bad.....

 

Ouch! Feeling your pain guys. That might take a few months, not weeks, to come back from.

 

I know those people are working so hard in the DR to get it ready. can't wait to go for NYE

 

From the video, it doesn't look good. We are scheduled to go on the 25th. I wonder what the options are?

 

Be positive. It was a lot of work for them to change reservations for those that were booked 10/1 to 10/20. I am sure a lot of thought went into the 10/21 date. Barring another storm, I think this is going to happen. Will it be 100% up and running, maybe not. This delay is costing them lots of $$$. This is a business. They need us there as much as we want to be there and I REALLY want to be there. 11/2
