We cancelled a couple days early fearing the weather would be bad. It did rain much of the day. I just wondered if the cruise went on, and if so how it went?
No, that is not at all what I was asking about. I'm not a creeper guy looking for a story of who did what, and how many times. We went last year at the same time, had a good time, and decided to do it again. I remember a trip report from staciaandjohn saying that they were on a bad weather one, and people spent most of the time under cover inside. The weather on this day (Dec. 2)was pretty bad in my opinion (thunder, very high waves, and yellow on the radar) at least where we were, so I was just curious as to whether or not it happened, and I could use the information from that to decide if we should try it next year if a similar situation happens.
We did the cruise on the 2nd Dec, it was very wet, still the drink flowed, the music played and the women got naked. What more can you ask for? We are booked on our final cruise for this years trip on Dec 8th, we can't wait.
The rain did not start until 30 minutes into the cruise, by that time we did not care anymore, we did get Dolphins though that made up for the rain .
We had a blast. The day at the resort sucked more. They steer away from the rain as much as possible. Lol never had a bad cruise in 46.
Thanks for the info. We cancelled early because we knew it was a popular one with a waiting list, and wanted to give Steve time to notify the next person on standby. I know the surf is a lot rougher at the GP, but I'm amazed it went sail-able up there. Glad it went well. Worked out good for us too. We were able to have a late night at the Tiki bar, and were pretty much out of commission Tuesday morning so the cruise would have been doubtful anyway. I'll do a trip report later. The Tiki bar at the GP has ramped it up several notches from last year.
