Good morning, My wife and I are trying to narrow down where to go for my 35th birthday, which happens to be a few days after St Patrick's day in March. I've done quite a bit of reading about TTR and it sounds like an adults spring break, which is kind of what I'm looking for since I was responsible and worked every spring break when I had luxury in life. My only reservation is that we're not typically "club" type people. If we go out, it's to bars, and while we're not at all opposed to getting loud, drunk and wild (and we do get that way) are there opportunities to just chill out at TTR or otherwise have a non-yelling conversation? I think that's my one question, whether patty o's is the only place to drink and hang out at night, or are there other bar options to be had. Most of it comes with my hearing being on the less than stellar side of things (THANKS HEAVY METAL SHOWS) so tons of background noise makes it hard to hear, so I just nod my head like an idiot, which i could see getting me into trouble here. Let us know what you think, and I appreciate your feedback. J&D
Paty'O is basically the place to hang out at in TTR at night! Some people do go out to the clubs at night because TTR has a deal with them. They go to a different club each night! They do have another bar..It's called The Alternative Bar. It's more of a small sports bar..Pool tables and quiet place to talk.
If quiet is what your looking for...U can always grab a beer/drink at Paty'O and take a short walk to the Sports Pool. They have nice chairs/Beds to chill in plus U can still hear some music from Paty"O
I too have the same hearing problem that you are talking about. It has not been a problem at Paty'O bar because it is outdoors. The sound seems to rise out rather than keep vibrating off the ceiling. Paty'O is the party place but not the only place to have a good time. There are plenty of places to find a party. The bar next to the quite pool has lots of people hanging out. It is next to a restaurant. People come and go as there table is ready. This is a resort. Find the spots that make you happy and enjoy your time away from the daily grind. :bash: You are in charge. :aktion033: I wish I had found this resort when I was 35. We wasted our time going to vanilla resorts before we found Temptation. Best of both worlds. If you and your honey want quiet, there are places for that. If you want a party with the friendliest people from all over the world, there are places for that. Do what you want.artyhorn:
10 minutes in at PatyO's and you'll be wishing you had brought theme wear for every night you'll be at TTR. You may not even realize that there's music playing at all as it can be a very visual experience.
Lots of people hang at PattyOs, and late night it is kind of your only option. Unless you already have friends and just decide to hang somewhere else, or in someone’s room. They quiet pool bar can be cool. After, people sometimes go to the sports pool for swimming. I am also not a night club person at all. But I like to party, and really enjoy this resort. I have to get away from the music at times, but the girls dancing makes it easier to return to. Additionally I have a hearing problem. It is a bit tough for me all week wherever I am. I normally can make up for this issue by slightly reading lips. But at Temptation it is much harder because the diversity of people and the fact that I am drunk, and so are they. I am sure lots of people I am friends with on here wonder why I am not picking up on some things they are saying. I just have to accept the fact I stand there looking like a space cadet sometimes.
Paty-O's is the only real deal at night. If in doubt, point at your ears, do the "I can't hear you shoulder shrug" thing. Grab her ass and drag her over to the dance floor. It works pretty well.
I would say that the wife and I are the exact opposite of "club" people, but still had a blast at Patios and TTR in general. The wife gets to dress up fun and you can mingle through and stay or take the party to the outer edges or sports pool. Like one of the other posters above mentioned, most the fun is the scenery and fun sexy atmosphere not a lot of deep conversations about politics or religion!
