Prices have dropped today on expedia and orbitz. I am able to go 10 days in october for $2300 usd. That is $300 cheaper than yesterday. I can get Jacuzzi room for $2900 for 10 days. I have checked prices almost everyday for 2 months in today is by far the cheapest
Do all of you check prices in an Incognito Window with Google Chrome? The reason I ask, is that I have heard from a couple reliable sources, that your vacation/airfare searches are saved in cookies on your PC. The prices are then calculated using the frequency you have searched for the same dates. I don't doubt it as its easy to see how cookies effect the ads on other websites you visit. I was searching for boat parts the other day and now half the sites I visit that contain ads happen to have ads for boat parts.
I just tried that, and there was no difference for me. Expedia is $50 more per person today than it was yesterday, for late July.
I've read that online retailers such as Amazon actually change the prices you see depending upon your Internet profile gained from buying personal information about you from various sources. So if you have a higher income, you will pay more for a given item than someone else! Wouldn't be surprised if some travel sites do the same.
We paid $1875 for 7 nights out of Kansas City for June 11-18. We booked the resort through Alpharooms and the flight through Expedia. We normally do better buying the flight and resort as a package but not this time!
