I hope its not the spurs and detriot, would be the least watched nba finals of all time! NO ONE likes watching the boring spurs or detriot. If lebrons cavs got there it would be watched by many more! All though both detroit and spurs are GREAT teams, boring to watch!
aaawwwwww, c'mon. Spurs can run with Phoenix and rack up 100 point games like everybody else. Tony Parker is one of the fastest point guards out there and Ginobili is a master contortionist as he finds a 2 cm lane to the basket time and again. To be honest, tho, I would rather see 'em play Cleveland in the Finals. LeBron would make a big splash as the Cavs fall. Besides, the Spurs have beaten three different teams in their three prior Finals appearances. Why not a fourth?
spurs= boring basketball! Its a no brainer, ask any espn analyst, no one likes to watch them. BUT, they are a GREAT team, especially with Mr. Fundamentals Tim Duncan and his cast!
Are they boring because they don't scream and scowl at the cameras when they dunk? Or because the NBA hasn't crowned any one of them one of the standard-bearers for the league (Kobe, King James, Shaq, Wade, et al). 'Cause they aren't featured in the papers for possessing drugs, wife-abuse, gambling, hanging out with gangs, or concealing firearms in an airport? (that's the kind of boring we can like). SA has won three championships since 1999 and the city has never experienced riots in "celebration" after any one of them. It's either SA or Utah in the Finals for the West. Which of these is more exciting? Okur and Kirilenko backing up Boozer and Williams...or Ginobili and Finley backing up Duncan and Parker?
I would rather watch the youth of boozer, okur and kirilenko anyday over watching the spurs! HOWEVER, I am a fan of good basketball, which the spurs no doubt play. Im going to watch the finals regardless of who is playing, but over all, statistically, from the past, if its the spurs there, less people will watch! Im guessing because more and more people are LESS fans of great basketball, and becoming more into it for the reasons you mentioned!
