Coming to Desire from Temptation for a day trip. We have always wanted to check this place out. Any tips on how to get there or how to use our time 9am-6pm ??
USA Transfers for transportation! Hang out at the pool and visit the beach bar from 9-3 then head to the rooftop hot tub/bar! The days are a little quiet at Desire compared TTR. A day pass really doesn't do the place justice in my opinion!
We heard that daytime is recovery time there. We wanted to stay overnight but it is a 2 day minimum and we aren't at TTR long enough to give up 2 days! Leaving at 6 will be no fun if it looks like things are getting good! DO you know what USA charges for a RT? How long is the ride?
I think it's around $60 return and it's about a 30-40 minute ride depending on traffic. There can be a lot of fun during the day, depending on what you are looking for and how much you socialize!
Did you ever stay there? We wanted to visit once before we book a trip there. I heard it is smaller, less restrictions, food is good, etc...
Yes we've been there three times! The first trip for 7 days - the second trip we split between TTR and Desire - 4 nights each and the third trip we went for 9 days. It is smaller, very easy to meet and chat with people, food is great, night life is great. We have nothing bad to say about it - we are booked for November, fingers crossed we can leave Canada by then! It's just if you are looking for a pool party like TTR, you will be disappointed. We actually like that it's not as loud (they still have music). It just makes it easier to socialize and have conversations.
