We will be at TTR June 22-29, and looking forward to it greatly. Having never been to TTR or Desire, we were wondering if it would be possible to visit Desire for a day to check it out for possible future vacations. Any advice?
I was thinking about doing the same on our next vacation, only going for 1 or 2 nights just to try it out. It's a decent drive (~1 hr I hear), so you will have to have transport too.
Desire RM used to(pre 2009) have day or night passes similar to what Temptation has, however ALL day and night passes to ALL the Desire resort where discontinued in 2009 - so you are out of luck The fact is that when they were available the day/night passes where just as expensive as booking a one night stay anyways. I would suggest just book for one night @Desire either at the start or end of your next Temptation vacation
Desire RM is only a 20 min drive south of the Cancun airport (it's actually closer to the airport than Temptation - lol) But if you are coming from Temptation in the HZ yes it will be about a 45 to 50min drive depending on traffic in the HZ.
Yes it's called Desire Pearl - located about 1/2 a mile from the northern edge of the town of Puerto Morelos - travel time from Cancun Airport to Desire Pearl is about 25 minutes.
That's not a bad idea at all. What's the cost ($US) for one day/night at Desire Pearl? Lastly, does anyone know did Johnny Depp help name the resort or does it have Tampax as a corporate sponsor?
Isn't there a Desire Cancun now. Last year on our ride from the airport the driver dropped a couple off at a resort south of Temptation next to Dreams that had a sign Dreams
Normal rate is $500 but there is a promo on right now so until Sept it is $400 per couple for one day/night at Desire Pearl No and No :icon_rolleyes:
