Hi there...my wife and I are coming to Cancun late June...staying at a vanilla AO resort in PM. We are looking at either buying a day pass for Temptations or reserving a room. I've researched this topic and understand probably the best way to go is reserving a room. Question: is late June/early July typically sold out? My wife bought some "I would never in a million years wear these at home bikinis" and is still nervous about wearing them at our resort...Temptations wouldn't be an issue for her so she is excited to spend a day at this fun resort.
Yea I definitely think just getting a room for the night is better. Then you're not rushed for time, and can even have breakfast before heading back to the other resort. If you really like the place you will even be able to stick around longer on that checkout day, cause they can give you a little pass. Just try to stay sober enough so you can enjoy the daytime party, a nice dinner, and then be able make it to the nighttime fun. Depending on when you are going, I would suggest either Sat/Sun nights (just a bit more crowded with lots of new people checking in), or Thursdays (day foam party and Lingerie night), those seem to be the most fun days. I find bathing suits changing these days. They seem to be getting smaller in general. What I would have originally thought would have been a smaller type bathing suit for Temptation, seems to be more commonplace now. Looking at stuff with my wife, I was like damn these are smaller then last year (and that was like at Victoria Secret and Pacsun).
Since TTR was all booked two years ago, we stayed next door for two nights before we could get in thinking we could get a day pass for one of the days. We headed over at 9 am and asked at the desk. She gave us some crazy price of $180 for him and $60 for her (or something like that). Then they offered the day pass for free if we went with the sales pitch. It was 2 hours of trying to get us to buy the premium membership, which we declined but they did offer us drinks during. After that we had a pass until 6 pm. Great fun, great people, lunch, supper, drinks but then we had to leave. Sucks but still worth it considering we had nothing else to do.
Stacia and I, this past April, did a Day Pass at TTR coming in for the day to visit people who work there, were going there, etc. We were very glad we did, and we ended up staying a bit overlong (you are only supposed to stay until 6:00 p.m., then you have to get a night party pass). But, we had an absolute blast, and we didn't really want to leave... but then we went back to DRM and had one of the best nights there, too. So, it's a tough thing, either way IF the other resort is bangin' fun, too, which in Fletchlives' case it doesn't sound like it's going to be -- so easier decision. Stay The Night! On the issue of the suits being racy and fun for the ladies to wear.... I had bought Stacia a... there's no easy way to describe it other than say it was only the outside string around the front style, kitty completely out style. We were just at DRM for the nude thing, and she's not shy, but hey... that sort of suit calls attention TO the business... but She was Good Troop and wore it, and got comfortable with it in about 10 minutes. So, have the lady wear the thing that pushes her own envelope, makes you go "Damn!" and have a great time! And by the way make sure you find out who is going to be at TTR partying ont he day you guys are going, so you've got a built-in and ready to go party crew to run around with. Increases the party temperature.
