we are staying at TTR but I was wondering if it was possible to get a day pass at Desire. This way we could check out the atmosphere to see if we would ever go there in the future. If they do have day passes how much are they. Also how far is either Desire from TTR?
Here is my standard answer for this very frequent question: TTR and the Desire properties are not considered "sister" properties therefore day passes are not available. If you sit thru the membership presentation at TTR you "might" be able to negotiate a one time day pass to DRM/Pearl - I say might because there is no guarantee that they will do it. IF you are successful, the pass is good from 11am to 6pm and then you will be asked to leave(just as the real action at DRM or Pearl is getting started). You are on our own for transportation and a taxi for a TTR>DRM/Pearl>TTR round trip will run you around $100 usd. Drive time TTR to either Desire property will be about 40+ min each way, depending on time of day and traffic. IMHO - all the day pass gives you is the chance to be nude(or see others that way) for a couple of hours and no real sense of what Desire is about - better to just bite the bullet and add(book) a couple of days at DRM or Pearl as part of your next TTR trip. The other thing to consider if you are successful in getting a day pass is that the guests at either Desire property will probably not invest any time with you knowing that you will be gone by 6pm - sure they will be polite, but that's probably as far as it will go....
Yeah, that answer he just gave you is absolutely, positively, 100% incorrect... yes they do day passes. He is correct in they have u sit through the “sales pitch”, which u easily can be done with in 30 mins while eating breakfast or lunch (depending on the time you schedule).. if you want a day AND night pass, when you call to reserve your pass, tell them you are interested in becoming a member bc you have several friends already members but you want to see what the night life is like but are not willing to pay for a night pass as well.., they will gladly offer it... If you call the front desk and ask for Carmina in the sales office she will absolutely give you a day and night pass. And you can stay until you’re ready to leave... The flip side of that, is people buy the day pass and STILL stay through the night. They don’t come hunt you down to make you leave. USA Transfers cost $55 round trip for 1-3 people in the Cancun hotel area... which both resorts are. It is NOT $100 both ways. As for guest interacting with you?!.. HA!!!! You will have everyone there acting like you have been best friends for 10 years! EVERYONE there acts like they have never met a stranger!.. we have been going for 6 years, and it doesn’t matter the month, the crowd is just as friendly every.... single... time.... and he is also correct in the fun actually begins at 4:00pm when people head to the hot tub! (Don’t miss out on that) The shows are very entertaining lol... As for cost, if you have any sales experience you can talk your way in to getting free passes.., Hard to do, but many people we have met over the years on pass talked their way in to free day passes and night passes or at a minimum pay for the day and free pass the night... We’ve recommended to friends that they do the day pass at Desire and they had the best time and now book Desire as well as Temptation. Go and check it out and know that many of us split our trips between the resorts, often ending at Desire. A good cost saving tip can be a group of friends on same day passes and a shared taxi between resorts. As for meeting folks at the resort on a day pass just go in wearing smiles and you be making fast friends.
