We had to be at his sister's house by 6:30 in the morning on this day. Our flight wasn't until 10:30, but she was letting us keep our car at her house and was giving us a ride to the airport, which was on her way to work. Our flight actually took off 10 minutes early! I did cry for a little bit on the flight, thinking of my friend and his family. There wasn't much turbulence, which was surprising because it was cloudy all the way until the Florida panhandle, I swear. That was cool because we followed the coastline all the way to the airport we flew into (Clearwater/St. Petersburg.) I recognized Caladesi Island and got excited. I changed into shorts immediately after we got off the plane. We picked up our rental car, a PT convertible, and made our way to the Dolphin Beach Resort. We checked in and hit the beach. We ate at the beach bar and just had a couple drinks, watched the sunset on our balcony, went to the store across the street for supplies and went to bed. Just a relaxing day. (We both work nights and are used to going to bed at 6:00 in the morning, so for us to have to leave the house by that time was very hard. Not complaining.... I'd definately take the earliest flight there every time.)
