OK, here is a couple questions for you seasoned cancuners... We have only 5 days on our vacation, 1 day we are doing the boob cruise come hell or high water! Do we have enought time while at Isla Mujeres to do the dolphin swim? Another day we would like to go see Tulum & Xel Ha. Is it worth the full day spent out of the resort? 2 1/2 hrs drive there and get back round 8 pm? Just don't wanna make a waste of the vacation... Any advice for us newbies?
We went for 5 nights our first two visits. We thought about doing an excursion, but we decided to stay at the resort so we didn't miss anything. If you were going longer then it might be worth it to go on excursion. You really only have 4 full days when staying 5 nights, so you would be gone half of them. Might as well book at some boring resort if you don't stay to enjoy the fun :mnm:
Honestly we go to Temptation for 6yrs straight now for a full week. We say every year we want to go to do some excursions but we never wanna miss a day at the resort. We did a cruise but it was short.
We plan to go back to Xel Ha sometime because it is fantastic! However, we would have to be staying at a boring resort that day because there's no way we would give up the all-inclusive fun at TTR!
WOW.. think I get the gist of it! LOL the resort is that much fun, just dont leave! the Royal dolphin swim is something we were planning on doing also. Good to know it's worth it. Thanks to you guys I feel like we will wait to go see the ruins til a trip when we have over a week, as not to miss any of the fun
Daulphin swim We can all do the dauphin swin at the party pool and you'll both have a lot more fun. Lol. :flash:
We did Xel Ha, and it is a long day (leave approx 7am - back approx 7pm). It is fantastic and well worth it, but if I was only at the resort for 5 days I wouldn't make plans for any excursions apart from the Boobs Cruise. We were there for 14 days, so a day out here and there was a nice break from the resort. Got a lovely gift from Xel Ha that is a miniature bottle with a cork in it, filled with sand and a gel-like imitation water substance with seashells suspended in it that sits next to my monitor in work. Reminds me every day of my trip to Mexico and spurs me on to keep working so I can afford to go back!!
