    Hi all!!

It's will be my first time to Temptations in August, we are from London and was just wondering what currency we should bring with us!

Might sound a bit silly but I've looked on the Internet some say the Mexican Peso but on here everyone seems to use dollars.

    Thanks xx

We try to tip in pesos so the staff don't have to exchange but I think pesos, US $'s or Canadian $'s work really. We also leave travel size toiletries for the maids (body wash, lotions) along with cash. You will get pesos as change whatever you use.

Oh, tip the bartenders a couple bucks every other drink or so, they work hard :)

Hi, best to take a mix of peso's and US dollars. You need to pay departure tax in peso's or English pounds.... Not Scottish. We take a pile of single dollars for tipping and every now and then tip when getting a drink and especially in restaurants, well if you want best service. You will love the place, do

Use your credit card for any significant expense. You will get the real exchange rate which will be better than what they offer you on the spot. For tips we bring lots of $2 bills US. I don't know why but we always get a big smile when we tip with those. I wouldn't worry about pesos. You get pesos in change for whatever you buy and we always end up with some in our pockets.

The two dollar bill is considered good luck by many in Mexico, but I have heard that they often won't cash them for the same reason.

Steve has said that pesos are better for tipping since the staff only get one day off a week and not having to convert their tips over gives them some more time with their families.

At TTR now and just exchanged USD for pesos for tipping. US dollar and the Pound both are at 11.6 exchange rate today. IE.. $100 = 1160 pesos. BTW... having a ball, wish you were here.
