We arrive this Saturday in Cancun and, unlike past trips, the strength of the USD has me thinking I want to convert all my spending money (tips, island ferry, golf cart, etc) into Pesos to take advantage of that fact. I see on the Cancun Airport site that the Money-Exchange currently lists a conversion rate of $1USD = 19.142 Pesos. The site shows it has a location in Terminal 3, however, I know that when I arrive we get funneled to the downstairs and I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a kiosk for currency exchange upon arrival? If it's not that quick and easy, I'm not going to mess with it, but thought it would be worth asking.
Not sure about that, but I do hear that you can get your Verizon Wireless plan in Mexico for $2/day per device.
Get it change before to land in mexico ( better deal ) usually airport aren't that bad !!! You're a little bit too late to get it change at the bank but maybe you can call and ask them if they have any pesos left ! Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk
There is a currency exchange place right across the street from TTR. There are also many other places in Cancun where you can exchange your money. I would stay away from the airport. There are banks and other money exchange places between the airport and TTR as well as past TTR.
A friend arrived at TTR yesterday and they sent me the rates that TTR is giving at the front desk. Not the best rate but actually not as bad as you would think. Yeah you could save a few bucks going elsewhere but for the amount I change its not worth the hassle sometimes. US to peso 15.10 Canadian 11.30
