Did anyone notice if the resort has someone sell tickets to the clubs or if the entertainment staff offers to take groups to certain clubs on certain nights like at TTR? The Cuncrawl that Steve has linked here looks interesting, trying to decide which night would be the best. We did CocoBongo a few times different ways -- with the resort, bottle service and VIP. Would like to do that again as well. Suggestions, recent experiences?
Every hotel in Cancun has someone to take you to the clubs. The staff get paid commission per person, so it's pretty much a given. Cuncrawl is good to see several places in one night for the price of going to a single place all night. Coco Bongo is not part of Cuncrawl though, Cuncrawl is with the Mandala group which run every nightclub in Cancun party zone except Coco Bongo which is independent.
We did cuncrawl a few weeks ago. I think it was $70 each. We booked directly with cuncrawl though and not through the resort. It was fun but a little nerve wracking. You always have that feeling that you'll get left behind. Once we made it to the last club (the City) we did our own thing, ending up in a couple different vip booths with friends from the resort we had met earlier. That club was pretty insane. We've done Cocobongo on a previous trip and felt like it was a one time thing.
