Bob & I enjoy all genres of music. We can say that Country Music is in our blood :sunny: Last weekend we went to Sport's Authority Field (Denver Bronco Stadium). We went to the Luke Bryan - Kick Up The Dust Tour. I can say, I now more clearly understand why he was Entertainer of the year- FAB-U-LOUS. If any of you enjoy Country Music and this tour comes to your town, MUST SEE. The concert was comprised of Dustin Lynch, Thomas Rhett, Randy Houser, Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan. Headed to County Jam next week also :clappyinghappy:Ang

Seen them both live...Kenny puts on one hell of a show. He is all over the stage. Seen him with Church about a month ago in Indy. Top notch performer!

I guess I'm from another camp. To me, country music is an oxymoron. Sorry guys.

The old saying Friends don't let friends do Country Music applies here but it is interesting to watch as Country Western has nowhere to grow and nowhere to go, music that was once considered Rock & Roll is now Mainstream Country.

Do you ever wonder if Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, Bob Segar, The Outlaws were new bands for 2015 if they would be classified Country? I feel Country has completely mutated into Pop Rock and is actually incorporating Rap now.

Hank Williams Rolling Over In His Grave... :headbanger:

We just saw Church a couple of weeks ago in Nebraska. He's always been a favorite of mine. I hate to say it, but I was really let down. I thought he was not very good. Maybe he was just having an off night. We also thought his opener (a name I've never heard) went on forever and sucked. I'm giving him a pass though. We had just seen The GARTH two weeks before that and he is a hell of a show to follow! Maybe we were just spoiled by Garth Brooks lol
Luke Bryan is on our list of must see next time he's close.

I DO somewhat agree with you. It's nowhere what it use to be with Waylon, Hank, Johnny, Willie, etc but like anything else, it has to adapt to survive. I love music in general, be it oldies, pop, rock, rock n roll, country, bluegrass, whatever the case. Country today is not like country of yesteryear, but it's country MUSIC none the less.

Now if we could get the TTR DJ to sprinkle in some country! Get tired of all the thumping dance music. Think the only country song the DJ has is Big and Rich Ride a Cowboy. LOL
