On Jan 1st Michelle said "get your ass on the scale" I kindly stepped on it minding my own business. The FU$($& thing had the nerve to say "one at the time please" told the scale take it back, asked hey google help me fricken google also had a smart remark. Unpluged one and remove the batteries in the other and told them they will stay under the bed until they appologize LOL Today end of March three months later, 25 pounds gone the hard way! with 3 weeks to our next trip on April 18-25. Thanks to my beautiful wife Michelle who did put up with me and all my craving and everything else. She already was the sexiest women on earth in my own mind and no weight to lose and still lost 10 pounds while supporting me. Please share your story. BTW we do not judge people by their weight and I much prefer seeing a real woman with a fantastic personality and smile rather than a person obsess on their looks hahahah PS the wife is smart now she needs a lot of new dresses. NEVER underestimate how smart women are ...
Will keep working on this for 18 more days and hopefully create a line of credit for some drinks with old and new friends
We started keto in August. I dropped to the lowest weight I’ve been in my adult like. Down 40 lbs. felt amazing this last week on vacation. Still need to firm up loose skin but it’s a marathon not a sprint. Wife is down like 20lbs. We both feel amazing and the attention we got at our resort this week tells us that our confidence isn’t unjustified. Spring break one year ago versus a few days ago.
Low-carb/Keto is where it's at for the bikini/beach body, y'all. Diet's hard to stick with but it does work (see above). Anyone whose tried keto dieting, and who (like... uh... Me) just can't stick to the thing due to Supervillains like Pizza, Texas Toast, and the Potato Gang with their Uber-leader, BEER... should try drinking ketones. Just sayin'... If ya don't know, click the link in the sig. Unlike some stuff, the keto diet certainly works, and the drinkable ketones support that lifestyle change and make it bearable for everyone. Yes, this is a shameless plug.
Low carb has pretty much been my lifestyle for a couple of years. Hard to say if my weight has changed much, because I work out quite a bit, and fat loss and muscle gain tend to argue when you get on the scale. Anyway it's just a number, and all that really matters is my jeans fit better, and I feel healthier. Pretty much only eat meat, eggs, and cheese, but there are some keto friendly protein bars that satisfy the sweet tooth, and some chocolate cookies I just found at Walmart (quest i believe is what they are). Pretty much drink vodka, or brandy which have no carbs for alcohol. I make a low carb pizza a lot that has a mozzarella cheese and almond flour crust. It's really good, and they have ow carb Marinara sauces. My last blood work showed no danger in cholesterol, which is a concern with all the meat eating, so I'm good there.
Something you might get into, Stacia just found it at our local Kroger, is a "vegetable pasta," made from zucchini & lentils... which sounds like it'd taste like cardboard sprayed in plastic... but it was fantastic. She made it (elbow macaroni was the shape) in a spicy red sauce (also bought off the shelf at Kroger) which only had 4 grams of carbs in the jar, Put some grass-fed ground sirloin in it. Wallah! Danm near spaghetti Bolognese... if that's how you spell it. Not full tilt keto, but definitely lower carb.
Excellent, when we met you guys two years ago during Halloween, Stacia clued me in on Krogers Low Carb milk. Nothing like having low carb conversations with topless wives.... I love chocolate milk, and really missed it. Drink it a lot now. I'll check out the vegetable pasta.
You bet. That Carb-Master stuff they have at Kroger (HEB has a different name/brand but it's very similar) is a nifty thing to have. Another thing, for the sweet tooth, is Halo. It's... kind of... ice cream, but without that huge load of carbs in it. Carbs are really low, but the taste is really good. Lots of flavors, just like those you may be familiar with. Helps a LOT when you get that craving that just keeps naggin' at ya until you scratch it. Low carb tortillas, for soft tacos & burritos, another excellent find. Lots of new stuff coming out now that people are finding out how carbs are trying to kill the planet. Not literally, but it gets people's attention!
We ran out of Baileys this weekend. We do like a little "pick me up" in our coffee. So, it turns out that a big pour of heavy cream, shake of cinnamon, a spoonful of stevia and 1/4 bottle of Jameson is a perfect substitute. (and its Keto friendly!!)
Low carb keto totally works for me! Down 75-80# from my heaviest. Just have to give yourself time to use fat for energy instead of carbs. Have been doing intermediate fasting as well to try to lean out for summer. Once fat adapted its pretty easy to do. Finish eating around 630 at night fast til noon or so.
