hi I am traveling with a few singles friends (late 30s and early 40s). We are evaluating a few adults only resorts (Club Med Turks, Temptations, and Golden Parnassus). We are looking for an environment for a nice vacation but want to be able to socialize (platonically) with others around our age. If we meet someone for more intimate times than great but it is not expected. We are not prudes or anything but this vacation is more for relaxing and not for crazy sexual adventures. We know about Club Med and there weak accommodations. Now we are comparing Temptations and GP. I think both would be fun. We do want to party a little but not over the top. We have a heavyset person in our group who does not even take a t shirt off at the pool. We have a voluptuous lady that gets turned off when men come to her and without saying hello offer something sexual to her (she is more the quiet pool type). But all of us do want to drink and dance and have fun. Any suggestions if Temptations is the right place for us? Also, what is the guy to girl ratio? For the singles is it a sausagefest? especially for those who may not be in the best physical shape?
The great thing about TTR is that we come in all shapes and sizes there, and no one judges you for it. As for your friend who doesn't take the shirt off at the pool...my sister refuses to remove her board shorts and no one even notices we are all there to have fun. The one who cant stand the guys coming up to her, I think you will get that anywhere you go. You will have to let me know what you decide. I will be at TTR from Nov 25th- Dec 2nd
I love Temptations..........haven't done the Golden Parnussus. True the last few trips there have had more single guys there but as far as sausage feast there is a good share of single women that also go there. We love to party but if quiet time is what you want then there is a quiet pool and beach to hang out on too. I think temptations offers a unique experience.
I stayed at GP about 3 years ago and am heading back to Temptations for my 3rd year in a row this November. I have nothing bad to say about GP but you won't find any place like TTR. TTR is the only resort I have ever returned to and it's for one reason only....the people. No where will you find people who are as open to meeting you for who you are and being non-judgmental. Come with an open non-judgmental attitude and you will have a great time and it won't likely be your last!
Sorry I forgot to reply about the single guys...there are some but in Nov/Dec when we go I would say that it is not overwhelming. In fact I think I have seen more single ladies there then men around that time. I'm sure during spring break time there are tons, but normal age group is 30-50's from what I have experienced in the Nov/Dec time.
thanks for your responses. My friends and I are still deciding but it looks like we will be doing the GP with the hope of getting a day pass to TTR to check it out. We also have interest in the Boobs Cruise if we are allowed to join it.
Boobs Cruise of course you can join us on the boob cruise..xx but i would definately consider staying at Temptation xx i think you would all enjoy the unique friendliness and atmosphere xx I am single and have met such awesome people every trip at Temptation..really dont know how many times I have been now..but definately at least 12..
I am staying at Temptations for the 5th time in November but stayed at GP in May with some friends. TTR is definitly different from any hotel I have ever stayed at (been to Cancun over 30 times). GP is much more quiet, more like the other hotels just without the kids. The pool games and activities around the bars at night don't compare to the wild times at TTR. At TTR you can get away from the craziness just by going to the quiet pool, its like a whole different resort, I go there to relax after the parting gets to me after a few days and its nice. Rarely have I ever experienced anyone being overly pushy or agressive, most are adults just going to let loose.
