we are considering a trip in dec for the first time and were wondering what the weather and occupancy will be like the first part of dec...we have been to Desire and are active swingers but Desire is not available during or day...what could we expect for single to couple ratio and the chance to meet like minded people thanks scott and kelley st louis mo
The weather that time of year is great. I've been their the last two years in december and am going again this year. It doesn't get too hot and it's only showered twice for 30 minutes. The occupancy has probably been 60 to 70 percent. It's mostly couples but theirs a lot of singles also. You'll find like minded people throughout the resort, everyone's there to have a great time.
thanks for the info...is there a good party at the resort after dark or does it move to cancun...what kind of age group and clientel at that time
We have been the past 2 Decembers and will be back this year. We have met some great folks and are "groups" ages are 27-46. We spend more than 1/2 the nights at the hotel.
We're in the same boat...wanted to go to Desire Dec 8 to 11 before our family arrives for our "family" portion of the trip...but they are booked w/ a takeover group..(btw there are rooms available via SDCtravel, but for a 5 nt min and we can only do 3 max)...so were going to TTR for those dates instead, we've never been in December though.
Same here, much shorter trip though, think Dec 8 to 11 (as were staying somewhere else in cancun afer that w/ family)....will have to jam pack it full of fun and make the best of it!
FYI - Get there as early as you can on the 4th. Last year, they overbooked on Saturdays in December. We meet a few people that got bumped to a sister resort on Saturday. We will get there early the next day....save us a chair.:icon_smile:
