He created Mcafee the virus scanning company. Sold it for a fortune then lost 90 percent of the money somehow. Ended up in Belize for some reason. Don't know what he did but he was all over the daily business reports for some reason today.

Lots of weird expats too, many of whom had multiple young girlfriends just like McAfee.
Yes, remarkable tale of what appears to be a complete personal and business meltdown, over an extended period of time, although we don't know if he was ever a truly "together" human being. I don't know why anyone would go to Belize to lead an extravagantly hedonistic lifestyle: there are far safer places to do it, such as Thailand, or even Cuba.
Wow. That journal is fascinating. I will never understand how a rich guy with everything going for him would voluntarily get involved with several gangs. Having armed 7 young girls (most with gang-member brothers or ex-boyfriends) living with you certainly isn't a way to lay low, is it?
