I just booked our honeymoon trip to Cancun in August at the Dreams Resort. I can't wait to go. I'm loving all the reviews and images that I'm seeing. A couple questions that I have so far:

    1. What is the best way to get to the hotel from the airport for 2 people?

    2. When you're at the resort and swimming around in the pools or on the beach do you need to keep an eye on your belongings at ALL times or is it pretty safe leaving it on your towel and checking on it from time to time?

User Best Day for hotel to airport transportations, it is cheapest.

Cancun Airport Transfer | Shared Cancun Transfer Just $9

When you jump into swimming pool more than likely you will be having few drinks. But regardless, I would NOT bring personal belongings to the pool (i.e. wallet). All hotels provide towels. All you have to bring is sun lotion, sun glases and flip flops. I usually put sun cream in the room before going to the pool.

One of my dumbass friend lost his wallet at the pool because he was intoxicated. So please do NOT bring your wallet to the pool. Other than that, no one will pick up your sun galsses or flip flops or sun cream. Chill and have fun.

I mean to say I usually put sun block on me before I leave the room, ha ha. I only bring sun glass and flip flop with me to the pool area. Ofcourse I wear them both so I got nothing to worry about, ha ha.

Awesome! Thanks for the tips guys. I booked my trip through travelosity. They had the best deal over all the other online sites that I checked.

    Dreams is like a dream!

Hi! Have a great time at Dreams!
We went there last year in August '11. It was our first time and we had a wonderful time! The beach at Dreams is better than the pool. They only have one large pool but it does the trick!
You are in walking distance to all of the clubs.
If you plan on excursions, don't buy at the hotel. Go walk to Krystal hotel - they have people with stands. Make sure you bargain when you buy trips. We paid for the two of us for an 1. all day trip to chichen itza including a trip to a cenote and lunch, 2. a 1/2 day trip riding atvs, swimming in a cenote and ziplining and 3. a trip on the high speed boat looking at the underwater museum and snorkeling for a total of $260 for both of us!!! We bought all 3 trips are the stand in front of Krystal Hotel - very close to Dreams. At the resort you will see prices such as $100+ per person just for a full day at Chicken Itza.

Here is my review at trip advisor if you want to read it - first one:

4 1/2 Stars!!! Great for the money we paid!!! - Review of Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa, Cancun, Mexico - TripAdvisor

Thank you so much for the tip about the trips. That was actually going to be my next question on here. We will definitely look into doing a few of those things, possibly all of them. How was the weather in August? I'm sure it was really warm (which I love) but was it windy at all?
