WE heading back to Cancun for the 5th time and we have gone to Coco Bongo's before but i was wondering how does a person go about getting a table?
Tip the doorman a few bucks and ask him who to talk to to get a table. He will call someone over who will take you to a table. Tip him as well.
table You can also go to Coco Bongo's website (I THINK it's www.cocobongo.com.mx, but I'm not 100% sure about that) and make a reservation. I can't remember if you have to reserve a table in VIP or not, but it can't hurt for you to investigate that option.
I'm from NY where we tip everyone lol. I handed the doorman 100 pesos and the guy who took us to a table 100 pesos and then when the waiter first came over I handed him 200 pesos and asked him to please never let our cups empty all the way to the bottom. It worked out pretty well. The only glitch was when our waiter's shift was over. So we tipped our new waiter and things were fine.
