Has anyone been to the clubs – congo bongo, daddy o’s, senior frogs, etc? Read on tripadvisor about doing a VIP type night at one of the clubs with table services, transportation, etc for virtually the same price as cover charge at one of the clubs. Also thought I read someone saying they arrange a night at the clubs with someone at the resort??? Does the resort offer a club night with a group of people who are staying at the resort or do you have to plan it yourself? Always more fun to have a group to party with.
We've been to all of them and Mandala Beach Club (not the Mandela on the street but behind it right on the ocean) is by far the best one to go to. The Hotel goes there on Tues nights. Coco Bongo's is a sardine can and takes forever to get a drink, Senor Frogs shut down and they reopened it in a much smaller spot, Daddy O's needs to get upgraded air conditioning as its a sauna in there, Club Sweet is a real nice club with good music and The City always has great DJ's and its huge capacity is like 7k..Its usually best to go with the hotel because you get good seats and your own waiter
Get the VIP band for coco bongo, drinks and space won't be an issue. Mandela and the City are good also. Señor frogs is more a bar then a club but can be fun also. I'm there April 10-19 and usually hit most of the clubs. Let me know if you want to join us.
