ANyone know how this works? I see on this site it alludes to a "party hopper" tour but do they have outings to a specific bar? The wife and I were thinking of maybe doing the coco bongo but not all that in to bar-hopping.

Any replies from peopl ewho've been down there before would be nice. We have the booze cruise for the 18th but wanted one more thing to do and a night out might be one of them... thanks!

The party hopper was a blast in 08 but the hotel didn't sponser it in Dec 09. We've been to most of the hotel outtings and Coco Bongo is a must see. We enjoyed Bulldogs the most. Tip your waiter well and he will take great care of you, saving your seats etc.

Each night is usually a specific club night. If you go with the resort, you have transportation there, you are taken right in to sit/stand in a specific area for the resort and don't have to wait in line to enter and then you just find transportation home. We have always used the bus to come home with no problem...lots of people use the cabs. Coco Bongos is a great club if you have never been. We actually ended up on the stage (not bar) with the dancers for parts of it!! It was a blast!!

Agreed - Coco Bongo is a must see - unless you are claustrophobic (it can get VERY packed, but so aren't many of the clubs in Cancun, especially during March/early April). Typically, we will give $10 or $20 US to the waiter, and the service is unbelievable. Like jmg said, (s)he will save your seat - OR if you are roaming the dance floor or by the bars all it takes is the "need another drink(s)" eye contact with that waiter and you will be taken care of very promptly.

I will also do this with the bartender at other clubs - and have had people surrounding the bar. Without the pre-tip, getting a drink might have taken 10-30 minutes. With the pre-tip, all it takes is a little eye contact and a nod. I'm most amazed by how good the service can be - and how the bartenders/servers can remember what everyone's drinking! This tip in advance can also result in producing higher-quality liquor than otherwise might be provided...:daveandmo:
