I have been going back and forth on the subject if I should bring a wad of $USD cash to spend, or if I should just bring ATM card, and tap it when I am down there to get a better rate. Does anyone know where the closest ATM is to the Golden Parnassus? I would hate to travel far up and down the hotel zone if I just need money ..... thanks for the info!
there is an atm right next to the front desk. however, it is very slow, and i think it charges like 45 pesos. May I ask what you need pesos for? Aside from the bus, I found everything was just easier in USD this year. HOWEVER..... when I was there, the hotel exchanged dollars for pesos at 11 pesos per dollar.... but when i went to puerto juarez at the ultramar dock, they gave me 12.5 pesos per dollar! Not that much more but the more you spend obviously the more your money is worth! I will gladly take you to puerto juarez and send you on your way to isla mujeres if you want. The ultramar from there is only 4 dollars a person. 8 bucks round trip. the other port charges you mad loot! lol. Just let me know what day you wanna go! heck if its a day we are free we can always double date! isla mujeres is amazing! i can be your tour guide!
Yeah ... we did a booze cruise last time and went to isla mujeres and we had fun, but were dissappointed that we only had like 2 hours on the island. This year, we totally planned on going via ultramar and spending the day there! I think that our initial plan was to go on Monday 5/23, but that can of course change .... also depends on the weather....
Steve's Boobs Cruise? or another one? did you wanna double date? I can see if my man is off? keep in mind ultramar uses a few different ports! So far I've come to find that Pto Juarez is the cheapest! Let me know if u want a tour guide
No, we didn't know about Steve's Boobs Cruise in 2009, so we just did the normal booze cruise that the Riu Cancun offered at the time. It was still fun, and sounds generally the same as Steve's Boobs Cruise, but of course more "G" rated I think ... LOL when I am in Mexico, I am up for just about anything .... so if you TWO are available, then I am game! ) When we did go to the island before, we did rent a golf cart for about an hour and did some exploring. We did find that lagoon near that one hotel and that little wooden bridge when you can walk out in the water really far ... that was really nice! We are thinking of going to the other end of the island this time for sure so that we can go exerience Garrofon Park (spelling?). I would love to maybe swim with the dolphins and do the zip lining! I research the different ports, and I think that last time, we went to the closest one, which is about 1/4 mile from the Riu Cancun.
