try an email order to the clinton library in little rock. special of the month are the "Monica stogies". on a serious note about every other shop has cigar sales. have been offered the cubans but i would not know the real ones vs the fakes.

Let me know what you find out mnranger...I was wondering the same thing. I'd bring a few good ones from home but I haven't flown since last April and i've heard that flyer rules have changed a bit since that guy tried to blow up his dick over Detroit. I figure it would just be easier to buy some down there.

I believe there are a few cigar shops in cancun, good ones also... the only that i know of is the one in La Isla mall, but im sure some of the others on here may know of others, though La Isla is only a short cab ride or bus away.

I am sure others on here know more than I do, but have been told that if you can find some good Cuban cigars that they will give you other bands in order to get them through customs. Don't know if that is true.

Last year I had to choke down some I bought at the shops in the area but definatly did not find anything to what I was accustom to. I usually smoke Captain Blacks and any thing I found was unbearable and left me feeling like I swallowed embers from a camp fire!
Next week I am bring a few extra packs.

any chance anyone could tell me how far this is from Temptations? seems to be the place to go but no idea where it is?

You should buy your cigars from a La Casa del Habanos (LCDH). There are LCDH shops all over the world (except the US) and there's even a shop in Cancun. Here's the address:

    La Casa del Habanos Cancun
    Address:
Blvd. Kukulkan Km 12.7 Zona Hotelera, Cancún Q.R. México 77500

Last year when Mary and I were there, you could buy really good Cuban Cohiba's
rite in the gift shop. That is what I did. They were a little on the expensive side 10
bucks a cigar, but they were worth it. They also had Monte Christos, but I didn,t
think they were quite as good. Mike

TTR is located at 3.5 Blvd. Kukulkan so it's about 9 km south of the hotel on the way to the major clubs. You can take a cab or bus down to it. I haven't checked the km address of the big clubs but I'm guessing it's all in the same area and not too far away at all, maybe 15 minutes by bus...
