I bought some cohibas at the Kukulcan Plaza cigar shop in 2009 for 7.50 ea US. Where they real Cohiba's, who knows. It has been said on here that your best bet for real cuban cigars is the duty free shop in the airport. Dont buy the ones on the beach and expect them to be real cuban cigars, they are dried out run of the mill el cheapo's!
For what its worth there are some great Mexican cigars for sale in Cancun and are completely legal in the USA. Whatever you decide enjoy your smoke!

unfortunately I didnt buy mine at the duty free shops, I wish I had. As far as Mexican cigars I would highly recommend Santa Clara 1830's, the best I've had so far. If you prefer a lighter smoke try the Ejecutivo's. They are both high quality hand wrapped and aged cigars. I've also had and liked Hoja de Oro cigars. When are you going to cancun? I will be there april 11th -17th

if you want Cuban I suggest La Casa del Habano across from the fire station just up the street from La Destileria. Or upstairs at the Cigar Factory you can buy handmade Mexican cigars and get tremendous mojitos made by my friend Jorge.
