A friend told me that along with money tips that the workers also love being given Chocolate bars. To us a dollar for a chocolate bar is nothing but there it is a rare treat. So, packing a box of Hersheys chocolate bars will help you in tipping as well as brighten the day of a hard working man or woman. Also most of them have children that this would be a really nice treat for. :daisy:
happy utah here. that is a great idea. what about at the wal-mart, is it more expensive than here? ive never looked when ive been there.
When we were just there, I was floored that a 3 Muskateers bar was almost $6.00 (U.S.). At least that was my peso conversion....I never got that down . I think that is pretty accurate because in the duty free at the airport, a large bag of M&M's was $15.50!!!!! We are going to bring candy bars next time! Terri
at those prices it would be easy to stay away from junk food!!!!!!!!!! I wonder if freezing the candy first would stop it from melting too much?
i hope by putting it in a freezer bag, then if they melted somewhat then at least it doesnt go all over every thing!!
I've used a thermal bag to put chocolate in my checked bag. They sell them at the grocery stores here like $2. I don't freeze chocolate but I'll freeze something else (like a bag of coffee) to put in with the chocolate. They are supposed to work pretty well without anything for a few hours.
Sounds great, but I would never try to give someone a Hershey bar in place of money, but possibly along with it, although my great uncle told me he did that in WWII when he was stationed in the Philippines and supposedly we now have cousins over there because of it, so maybay it does go a long way.
