Chic is an adults only hotel in DR. It is very nice and upscale. The guests were friendly and tried their best to party. The hotel is clean, food is very good. Daytime activities were very weak and night time just as bad. The lobby bar was not exciting neither their little disco/sports bar. We had to leave the resort for fun. The staff seemed under enthused serving and were not the quickest. The exception to this was Paulino, Felix, Willking, Sylvie the Zumba trainer and Jose volleyball guy. In summary, food and hotel good, service and entertainment weak. This is not a place similar to TTR.
Good summary from Hola123, about the CHIC by Royalton PC, DR resort - we totally agree. It's owned by Canada's Sunwing Airlines group along with the other Royalton resorts. We've stayed there for 2 weeks and had a nice quiet time. Enjoyed the restaurants and Starbucks like coffeebar, Nice beach too though. The human foosball game was fun too. They really looked after us. Good place to relax as a couple, not to party. They do one foam pool party day every week. Some pressure to buy upgrade/membership and swimup room (lonely, not connected to main pool). The cabana service is great - so spoiled. We got married is at Chic last year!! We had a great time...but we had family there, so the Temptation party scene wouldn't have worked. We actually began to plan a Temptation wedding, but when family members decided to come along, we found Chic. We leave a week from today for Breatless Punta Cana. It's more of a party place and is top optional with a day as well as a 10 pm-2 am black light pool foam party. We know that we won't find many people looking to party like we were at TTR...but we plan to do our best to meet the coolest people there and party as hard as they'll let us. Courtney will do her best to encourage toplessness and misbehavior whenever possible!!
