I have seen that the resort requires a credit card upon checking in. Is this true or is it old info. I also have seen "cash or credit card". If this is the case how much cash to they demand up front?? I have NEVER travelled before so I am totally CLUELESS!!! Thanks Rich 12/3-10
When I've stayed at TR, they've never wanted my credit card since everything was included in my package including any resort fees. I book thru Orbitz. But not all packages have included everything, so they will need a credit card to cover any extra-not a debit card. I am surprised that TR doesn't want to get an imprint of my credit card though since most hotels do to cover anything that you charge to your room or to cover any damage you might make to your room. I have never heard of any hotel taking cash, but would guess that if you didn't have a credit card, they might. Where did you book your trip? And welcome, you will have a great time! Check your receipt or call them and ask if everything is included(all taxes, resort fees), since this might vary from co. to co. You are going to have a blast. Be sure to find Sue and Zurc and their group! I'm going to miss you this trip. Maybe next time though!!
Hey... Never used a Credit card to pay for the trip nor checking in.... however, I exchanged $2.00 US into Pesos and they wanted to scan my passport... go figure???
